Art Extraordinaire!

March 20, 2013

Snow and cold temperatures may still linger, and the rains are yet to come.  But spring has arrived in the northern hemisphere, and soon all its glorious colors will begin to emerge.  Let the photos below (from spring 2012) remind you of the visual feast about to arrive!

Fabulous shots! What are those orange flowers? they are really very striking. I hope to get to Giverny sometime. Meanwhile, you should check out the Barnes Foundation in their new home in Philly if you have not yet done so. Another feast for the eyes!

Thanks J, not sure what the orange flowers are other than beautiful. Giverny, Monet’s home and gardens, and the entire village, is wonderful. I’m due for a visit to Philly, will definitely check out the Barnes Foundation when I next get down there.

Thanks Tara, visiting le maison et les jardin de Claude Monet and exploring the village of Giverny was truly one of the best days of our visit to France last year. I could go on about the croissants, coffee, cheese, and wine, too. But that’s another post!

  4. Lovely photos … and great minds think alike, I posted something about gardening (while aging in place) on Huff/Post50.

Excellent post at Huff Post 50. Just ordered your book —
Staying Power: Age-Proof Your Home for Comfort, Safety and Style — from Can’t wait to get it! I want mine to be a signed copy, so next time you’re passing my way we’ll have to plan dinner and an autograph!
